The four-phase process
Phase 1
Listen
Interview the owner and key employees to understand how work happens in practice. This includes structured conversations about daily responsibilities, recurring frustrations, decision-making patterns, and where breakdowns occur.
Phase 2
Map
Document the real workflow, including decisions, handoffs, delays, controls, and dependencies. This creates a clear picture of how the business actually operates — not how anyone assumes it operates.
Phase 3
Reset
Redesign one critical owner-dependent process and define clear responsibility. This phase determines who should own each decision, what information they need, and how the workflow should move without the owner.
Phase 4
Implement
Put one meaningful improvement into operation and provide a prioritized 90-day plan. The engagement closes with a working change and a clear roadmap for continuing improvements independently.
Common questions
Is this a software-development engagement?
No. Software, automation, and AI might support the solution, but the engagement begins with the operating process and the owner dependency.
Is this fractional COO work?
No. Phillip does not assume responsibility for daily operations or employee management during the initial engagement.
Does Phillip need to visit our location?
No. The Owner Bottleneck Reset is designed for remote delivery using interviews, screen sharing, workflow observation, documentation review, and leadership sessions.
Will the entire company be fixed in 30 days?
No. The engagement focuses on one critical owner-dependent process and produces a prioritized 90-day plan for the remaining work.
What happens after the 30 days?
The company can execute the plan internally or retain Phillip for a separate implementation engagement.
Investment
Owner Bottleneck Reset engagements are scoped after a qualification call. Most engagements require an investment between $5,500 and $7,500.
Ongoing implementation support is available for qualified clients under a separate monthly agreement.
